iList CRM (ConvoHost) - Email Services Setup

**How to set up your email||Setting Up Your Email - Personal and Marketing**

Setting up your email is one of the most important things to do within the platform. We provide step by step guide and video on how to do this.

There are 2 areas to focus on when setting up your email. Marketing emails and Personal 2 way sync. The reason there are two types is that most personal email providers have daily limits on emails sent out and if you are going to be doing email marketing, it is advised to use a dedicated sending domain.

**Marketing Emails**

Marketing emails are used for sending out volume and or bulk emails. We will show you how to set this up correctly to ensure emails are sent and are received in the inbox.

**Personal Email - 2 way Sync**

Personal emails are your Gmail or outlook style emails that are nice to have in your CRM. You can set up 2 way sync to better manage your emails.

Watch the below guide on how to do this and or review the bullet points below.

Marketing Email Setup

On the left hand side, click on Settings and then Email Services
If prompted, configure a dedicated Domain and IP. If not, click click on Dedicated Domain and IP on right side
Click Add Domain and Enter Domain Name. Note- Use a subdomain for this step not your main domain. For example, if your domain is thesampledomain.com you would use something like mail.thesampledomain.com for your email domain.
Open up your domain from where you purchased it - ie. GoDaddy, etc.
Select your domain name and locate DNS records to add / edit.
Add the DNS records provided. There should be 5 records total to add. NOTE: for MX records your domain provider will ask for a "Priority", enter 10 both times.
Once added, you will click validate. NOTE: you might have to validate a few times.
Return back to your dedicated domain for email page and select the domain you added. You may need to validate one more time.
If configured correctly it will say Active and SSL Cert issued.
Once this is done you will have a dedicated domain for sending and receiving marketing style emails.
